The second set of mid-week fixtures saw Killamarsh Juniors win their second game of the week to secure top spot in NAPIT ONE. Brampton Rovers provided the opposition and were undone as a goal each from G Parsons AND L Walker handed them a 2-0 win. A six goal thriller at Whitecotes saw the hosts and Britannia each take a point as the game ended level 3-3. Lytham scored twice for Cotes, Harcourt once whilst on target for Brit were Chambers, Fields and Whitehead. Clowne Wanderers drew 1-1 with Bolsover Town SC whilst Creswell [Marsden, Whitehead, Machin] beat Eckington Boys 3-2.
Barrow Hill, New Whitt and Grassmoor Sports made it two wins from two in TWO. Barrow Hill visited Brampton Rovers JMA and won easily by seven goals to one, with Aiden Ordidge scoring a couple, Cave, Cooper, Hadfield, Ryan Ordidge and Wain the others. New Whitts win came against Charlies Bar who they thumped 6-0 whilst Sports second win was a 2-0 success against Ashover Vale. Highly fancied FC Brimington lost on Sunday but ran out 4-2 winners in an entertaining game against Hollingwood.There was little to choose between Silver Birches and Tibshelf Town but Town edged it 3-2. The game between Wingerworth Barley Mow and Woodside was an even closer affair and ended level at 2-2.
Matlock Town Wanderers lead THREE on goal difference from Hosetech after winning 4-3 at Dronfield Woodhouse. Two goals from Ben Townsend plus one each from Davey and Sherriff earned Hosetech a 4-1 win over Double Top. AFC Bolsover put six past Beechers Brook, Parfitt and Taylor two, Dobbs and Henry the scorers. Elsewhere Red Lion drew 1-1 with Brickmakers, Steelmelters Killamarsh and Newton George and Dragon drew 0-0 and Creswell Black Diamond won 4-3 at West Killamarsh.
New Whitt B top FOUR after two games, their 7-1 demolition of Chesterfield Arms on Sunday being followed up by a 4-1 win over Steelmelters. Woodthorpe Inn are second after winning their second game of the week, 3-2 at Harleys Scarlets. Brimington Park Colts won a close encounter by the odd goal in seven at Lowgates Sports SC. Read-Aspley scored twice in the win as did Browne. North Wingfield drew 1-1 with Spartans, Newbold won 5-3 at Chesterfield Arms and Dronfield Miners won 3-2 at Pilsley.
On Sunday in NAPIT ONE early leaders Killamarsh Juniors Athletic take on Whitecotes, TWO leaders Barrow Hill MC travel to Tibshelf Town, in THREE Matlock Town Wanderers host West Killamarsh whilst New Whitt B will attempt to make three wins in three starts in FOUR at Brimington Park Colts. Newbold Sports who top FIVE face Brampton Brewery, SIX leaders Hady Villa have a tough task on their hands as they host Barlow Kingston Rovers who have also won their opening two games whilst in SEVEN Oxcroft Utd and Duckmanton Community who have both won their opening two games clash at Poolsbrook.
