The following posts shall become vacant at the WSFL AGM on Sunday 12th June

Nominations/applications are being sought for the position/s of General Secretary, Treasurer and Referee Appointment Secretary (could be a combined position) within the Weymouth Sunday Football League.

Applicants/nominees should have basic computer knowledge (one WSFL netbook available)

General League Secretary duties would include:
• Creating League and Cup fixtures for the season and compiling League placements based on results received (all of which can be done through the FA’s FullTime system)
• Book pitches for all teams unwilling to arrange their own and arrange payment by the Treasurer
• Ensure that the League rules are adhered to and (along with the Committee) act appropriately if they are not
• Compose, and respond to, any necessary correspondence
• Arrange any committee/members’ meetings including AGM with necessary agendas and keep an accurate record of the business conducted by taking minutes
• Arrange personal accident insurance for all affiliated clubs
• Keep an accurate and up to date record of all registered players
• Arrange all aspects of the annual six-a-side competition
• Arrange presentation evening at the end of the season

Treasurer duties include:
• Collection of League fees, fines and pitch fees
• Payment of pitch fees to Redlands and Weymouth & Portland Borough Council as instructed by the League Secretary
• Banking of funds at Lloyds bank
• Keeping an accurate financial record for each club of all monetary income and out-goings as well as for the League as a whole
• preparation of end of year accounts at 31 May for submission to the DCFA and distribution to all teams prior to the AGM


Referee Appointments Secretary duties:
• To collate a list of FA registered referees
• Appoint referees to all WSFL fixtures as required


Annual honorariums shall be offered. These are currently:
• General League Secretary £450
• Treasure £300
• Referee Appointment Secretary £150
