An incorrect score recorded two weeks ago, meant that this week, FC Nice Guy went into their fixture with Tazmanian Devils this week needing a win to clinch the title. They achieved this in some style with an 8-2 win, and our Congratulations are therefore extended to our Division A Champions this season, FC Nice Guy. In a week disrupted, we believe by the big local egg chasing game, a walkover win for Multiple Scorgasms meant they are guaranteed to be this seasons Runners Up, while Tazmanian Devils benefited from a walkover win in their rearranged fixture this week to pull clear of the danger zone and Lymm Villa defeated relegation threatened Pughventus by the odd goal in five to move into third spot in the standings.
In a late twist in Division B this week, The Hollow Tree, who had two games scheduled this week could have sealed the title with two wins, however despite a comfortable enough 6-0 win against Crown FC, a disappointing 3-3 draw against an inspired Das Boot performance means the title will be decided on the last week of the season. AFC Wimbleblum are the only team who can snatch the title from the leaders after their fantastic 5-1 win against last weeks leaders, The Venga Boys, effectively ended their chances at the title, but the must rely on a further slip from the leaders. The Hooners pulled clear of the drop zone, but arent safe yet, after a superb 6-3 win against nearest rivals Crown FC, while Dads Armys relegation to Division C next season was confirmed despite a spirited 4-4 draw with Oscars Army.
In Division C, Disposable Heroes kept the title race alive, but only just, as they defeated Sporting Abeergut, 5-1, but a walkover win for leaders Hardcore FC, and their vastly superior goal difference, mean the title is all but mathematically theirs. Bottom team, Sandymoor Vets picked up their first win of the season, courtesy of another walkover, while Young Guns have already secured third spot this season, but carried on their impressive form with a fabulous 5-2 win against Ace Rimmers.
