Sileby Town rescue a point in the top of the table clash.
The all action top of the table Div1 clash at Anstey Town seemed to be a tale of 2 halves, Anstey leading 2-0 at the break but having to settle for honours even after Sileby came back to rescue a point in a 2-2 draw. Anstey remain 8 points off the pace with 4 games in hand, a brave man would bet against them taking the title for the 3rd consecutive season.
The chasing pack failed to close the gap, with the morning?s 3rd placed Hathern going down 0-2 at home to Lutterworth Athletic. That allowed Braunstone Victoria back in to 3rd spot with a 3-0 defeat of bottom placed Ravenstone where leading scorer Leon Simpson enhanced his chances of the golden boot with another double.
Asfordby Amateurs continued their assault on the top 6, and stepped within a point with a 2-3 victory at Saffron Dynamo after sprinting to 0-3 half time lead. Brett Adams set up a tense finish with 2 converted 2nd half penalties but the Dynamo finished up losing their 4th consecutive home match.
Both Narborough and Littlethorpe and Lutterworth Town missed penalties in their 0-0 draw at Leicester Road and Huncote Sports and Social moved into mid table safety with a 3-1 defeat of 2nd bottom Cottesmore Amateurs.
