Covid-19 Updates to accompany the Rules.

Following some concerns and queries from individuals; the league would like to make the following additions to the Match Day protocols:

1. It is the leagues understanding that the self-assessment sheets are to be completed by each team before training or matches and that these sheets are to be kept for 21 days (3 weeks).
However, the league doesn’t expect the visiting team to also complete the home teams self-assessment sheet and in fact the visiting team should have completed their own self-assessment sheets prior to attending the away fixture. This would then comply with the requirements of the Track & Trace requirement of the FA's Guidelines. NO-ONE should be attending a training session or fixture if they have any of the symptons.

2. If a Home Team requires their oppositions Managers and Spectators to turn up at the match wearing face masks and gloves, or have any other special measures within their Covid-19 Risk Assessment Policy, the Home Team should advise the opposition on the Tuesday before the fixture (which is the day they organise kick off times and venue locations); certainly NOT the morning of the fixture or the day before. If requested, then please provide a copy of your Covid19 – Risk Assessment Policy. All opposition teams and spectators MUST adhere to the Covid-19 Risk Assessments of the Home teams that are in place.
Should an away team decide to oppose this, for good reason, or should a Home team not appear to be adhering to the Covid-19 Guidelines then the fixture will be abandoned and both teams are to provide a report to the league who will relay this on to West Riding County FA; a final decision on the status of the fixture will be made pending a decision from County.

3. If there is a school or institution that has had a number children in a bubble sent home to isolate, and this affects a team from being able to fulfil a fixture; please notify the Fixtures Secretary at cawjl@outlook.com straightaway and the game will be postponed for a future date. This would only apply to the competitive age groups – U12 to U18, the Mini Soccer section still needs to notify the Fixtures Secretary at cawjlmini@outlook.com, but the fixture will be cancelled.

4. The leagues policy, with regards to teams not being prepared to fulfil a fixture due to parental concerns of their team playing in an area with an increased risk of infection, is that if the governing local district Council still allows organised outdoor sporting events to take place, then, the team is expected to fulfill the fixture and it cant be postponed for this reason. If the team declines to fulfil the fixture then the league will need to receive a request for this giving their reason for declining; the management committee shall take a view on each case independently and advise the teams of their decision.

5. For the Junior Section (12 to 18) the exchanging of the Match Result Form/Match Day Pad sheet does not need to take place. Teams still need to complete these, see downloadable version below if you haven't got your pad, and present them so the opposing manager can take a photo of it - or email a copy to them before kickoff. This also applies to the referees, should one be present, both sets of managers are to present these.

6. ALL Junior Section (12 - 18) teams MUST have the lastest copy of their League approved Players Squad Sheet made available for inspection by your opposition manager. Either place them in a plastic see through wallet or laminate it - so as it may be wiped down with sanitising wipes.
If you do not have this available then you will forfeit the fixture and it could be played as a Friendly, a PDF on your phone/tablet is also acceptable.

These are very trying times and it may not be possible to cover every element that is thrown at us during this period as a ruling - so the league will be monitoring any alerts or changes in guidance and update these as and when.
