Brief format and rules
The first cup for development teams gets underway this Saturday with eight first round ties. This particular competition will be a straight knock-out, with the winners of each match progressing to the next stage.
In week 2 (23rd November) the eight winners and eight first round byes will play another eight ties . The quarter-finals to final will be played later in the season.
As per normal mini-soccer cup rules, should games end in a draw 10 minutes extra-time will be played (5 mins each way) and then if necessary the tie will be decided on penalties - with each side taking three kicks.
ONLY registered players for the teams are eligible and NO swapping is permitted. Match Report forms MUST be submitted to the Results Co-Ordinator - failure to send the form may lead to sanctions against the home team.
Teams eliminated before the quarter-finals will play in a Shadow Cup competition, which will also be straight knockout format.
Development games in the U7s to U12s age group will be fixtured up to Saturday May 12th.

As per league rules there will be no fixtures on Easter Saturday (March 31st) and Sunday (1st April). Fixtures resume the following weekend (April 7th & 8th) in all age groups.
