The format and rules for this seasons U11 League Cup
We start our U11 League Cup on 1st March, this season we have 4 league cups, Red, Yellow, Blue & Orange. To give teams more games we have revised the format this season so in the Red Yellow & Blue cups we have 8 groups of 4 with teams playing each other once with 3 points for a win & one point for a draw with the top team going forward into the knock out stage, if there is a tie at the top of the group the winner will be the team who won the head to head, and if that was a draw we would need to have a play off game. In the Orange Cup we have 4 groups of 5 with teams playing each other once and the top team in each group going forward to the Semi Finals, if there is a tie at the top then it would be the same as the other cups. The fixtures for all cups will be sent out within the next few days and we would ask that you check for any pitch share issues that we may have missed and let us know asap. As with all cup games if a team is unable to play on the set date the points will be awarded to the opposition and because of the time constraints for U11 competitions if a game is postponed because of the weather then the teams will get one point each. The dates for the rounds of the Cups are 1/3, 8/3,15/3, 22/3,29/3 with the finals of the Red Yellow & Blue on 26th April at Holmes Park. The date for the Orange Final has still to be confirmed but it will be sometime mid May.
