FOOTBALL KITS
I would like to remind everyone, that all teams should be in a proper football kit with numbers on the back of shirts.
Jogging bottoms or sweatshirts are not allowed!
You have had 4 months from the start of this season to get it all sorted out.
Fines will be issued from the 11th January for teams that are still failing to wear the correct attire.
REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS
Clubs are reminded that the last day to register a player in the U12 - U17 age groups will be the 31st JANUARY 2019.
U7 - U11 will remain open until March.
All player registrations MUST be sent to Jo Sargent via email - jothesargent@gmail.com (07967801322)
SEASON 2019/2020
Application forms for next season will go out in February 2019.
COUNTY FA - AFFILIATION
This will open in April 2019 for next season. Don't delay in starting it.
We had so many issues before the season and also at the start, where clubs thought they could get it all sorted within a week!
It doesn't happen like that and always takes longer than you think.
MATCH DAY PROTOCOL
Coaches are advised that they will be fined if they do not follow the rules as set out in the CIYFL COACH HANDBOOK.
COURSES
I will be running Safeguarding, Emergency Aid and a Child Welfare Officer courses in February, March and April.
The best way to check if your coach/manager needs to renew one of these, is to check the Whole Game System as it lists everything on there.
Clubs are reminded that the League can see all the qualifications that their coaches have too and who needs to renew etc.
I am also looking to run a Level 1 and also a Level 2 at Market Road over the course of the next 6 months. Details to follow.
ADVANCE WARNING
All coaches will need to return their coach ID badge at the end of the season to Derek and Mani.
Coaches will not be issued with another one for next season, unless their details are uploaded to the WGS, which means that they need to have an FA DBS.
No other DBS will be accepted. If you know your FA DBS is running out within the next few months, then start the process sooner rather than later.
CHARTER STANDARD
The League is becoming a Charter Standard League and we will be running evenings at Market Road to help clubs go through the very easy process of becoming a Charter Standard Club. Dates to follow.
CLUB WELFARE OFFICER WORKSHOPS
Malcolm Hercus, League Welfare Officer, will be running evenings at Market Road, to show the Club Welfare Officer's how to organise a DBS for their coaches through the FA Online DBS Service. This will make it much easier for clubs to monitor and check which coach needs one and when, so it doesn't impact on them losing their CIYFL ID badge.
If you have any CWO queries, please contact Malcolm on 07989823968 or email mghercus@gmail.com
Best wishes,
Karen
