It is Tron FC topping the Division Two table by one point after winning their third match by 4-2 against AFC Berg. It was however Berg with the opener very early on when a ball from Kenton West bounced nicely for Merson Webb to beat Luke Stickland. In the absence of striker Ben Nicholls, it was his brother Sam who led the line for Tron and he equalized in the tenth minute, running through from a Richard McCoubrie pass to lob keeper Simon Edwards. Richard Kalwarczyk, the latest player to sign for Tron, was brought down by Kris Munt in the 12th minute and McCoubrie put away the spot kick for the lead. Sam Nicholls scored again in the 18th following a clever pass from Connor Dawber. By half time Tron had made it 4-1 as they scored from another penalty. Jack Mead fouled McCoubrie who once again beat Edwards from the spot. Tron had plenty of chances in the second half without finding the net and it was Kieran Alleyne, the AFC Berg top striker who reduced the arrears with ten minutes to go, snapping up the pass from Astrine West.

It is success at last for Graham Jenkins’ TDI Group FC. Following his disastrous campaign under the Welly Old Boys name last season, his new side of youngsters are improving with each match and they defeated Basingstoke Athletic FC Reserves 2-0. TDI are now getting acclimatized to men’s football and with experienced Russ Hancock in goal, things look much better for Jenkins and his team. It was Macaulay Carvell who gave them a 20th minute lead when he put away a Richie Budd pass. Jenkins included himself this week and headed a good chance wide as they pressed for more goals. Jack Barlow also went close before In the 65th minute they went down to ten men when Dillon Donnelly received a straight red card for violent conduct. This however did not hinder their progress and in the 75th minute Carvell headed home his second from a Tom Roworth. Cross. Athletic pressed, but sound defending and good keeping from Hancock saw TDI hold onto the three points.

Bounty FC looked to be back to full strength this week and won 4-1 away to Hook FC Reserves. In only the third minute Matt Love outpaced the defence and slotted past Tony Foster from 15 yards. Five minutes later it was 2-0 when Mitchell Stokes dispossessed Jack Fisher and scored with an angled shot. Hook Reserves pulled a goal back in the 48th minute after a Jack Fisher header found Charlie Page and his pass fell just right for Jack McKee to finish off the move. In the 57th minute Bounty had Steve Bucksy sent off, but despite this, two minutes later Love made it 3-1 with a header in off the post. The final goal came in the 79th minute, a penalty kick was awarded for handball by Chris Eversley and the spot kick was calmly converted by Andrew Darmody.

Herriard Sports FC followed up their opening 3-2 win, with a 3-1 win against Winklebury Wizards FC at home. Wizards opened the scoring after just two minutes when Scott Large found space and played in Dan Scott who beat keeper Martin Miles from 20 yards out. Within a minute Herriard were on level terms. Craig Hine with the centre and a half volley from Sam Cato proved just too good for the Wizards Keeper. In the 38th minute Herriard went ahead. It was Martin Miles with a long clearance and under pressure from Chris Dobbie, Wizards’ defender Dean Scott headed into his own goal. 2-1 to Herriard at the break. Wizards had a better second half when Scott Winterbourne broke though and hit the post before Connor Stratton forced a fine save from Miles. Despite a good spell of pressure from Wizards, the equalizer would not come and with ten minutes left to play, Herriard made sure of the points when Wayne Rowland went on a good run and his final pass fell to Cato who finished well.

The other scheduled match in this division was not played, as AFC Aldermaston ‘A’ could not raise a team to play Overton United FC ‘B’
