HAUNCHWOODS EXCELLENT FORM CONTINUES IN THR TROPHY !

Haunchwood Sports continued their dominance of LEAGUE ONE this time in the CHALLENGE TROPHY. They beat Bedworth Liberal 6-1 to progress to the semi final. Simeon Townsend top scored with a hat-trick and singles from Mark Williams, Oli Hawker and Brandon Line with the goals. William Roe’s strike would only be a consolation for the Liberals.

Joining Haunchwood in the semi final will be Royal Trent as they saw off Chetwynd Phoenix to win 4-1. Goals for Trent coming from Dom Bonner, Troy Baker, Connor McCallum and O’Briel Nyambayo. Dan Law replied for Chetwynd.

In league action, Drayton remain top of NDSFL PREMIER LEAGUE thanks to a 4-1 win over Ambleside. Lewis Commins came off the bench to score 2 with the others coming from Jack Bonnel and the ever reliable Jack Colley. Charlie Stockton was on hand to ensure Drayton did not leave with a clean sheet.

Jack Edwards scored a hat-trick for Ridge Lane as they picked up and 8-0 win over Griff and Coton Manor. Braces for Alex Sutton and Conor McEwan and a Henley Hadley single completed the scoring.

Witherley United left Bedworth with all 3 points as 2 goals each for Brad Jenkins and Shaun Clarke topped up with a James Matthews strike secured them a 5-3 win over Poplar Athletic. Danny Taylor hit 2 and Alec Cullen with the Pop goals.

With three of the top four in cup action, an opportunity was presented for Coniston Tavern to climb to 2nd in NDSFL LEAGUE ONE and they snatched it with open arms as they beat Desford-Caterpillar 6-2. Ashley Clark and substitute Antonio Williams both grabbed 2 with Kieron Brehon and Danny Edmond the singles for Coniston. Liam O’Rourke and Joe Neale scored for Desford.

Hearty Goodfellow hit 9 as they beat Ambleside Reserves 9-2. Jonni Biddle, Craig Ashby and Morgan Lewis all hit braces with the other goals coming from Luke Hand, Charlie Watts and George Blower. Lee Wilkins and Brad Steptoe struck for Ambleside.

MARK BLAIR LEAGUE TWO leaders Athletico Duke were not in action this week so there was a chance for teams to make a bit of ground. Bedworth Ex-Servicemen did just that as Harvey Westwood continued his fine goal scoring form with a hat-trick to beat Acorn 3-1 and send the Servicemen 2nd.

Ashby Road Sports 5 game winning streak was ended by Conny United as Zion Bray scored both goals in a 2-1 win. Nick Richardson scored the Ashby Road goal.

Witherley United Reserves sit 3rd on goal difference as they drew 4-4 for the second week running, Crows Nest Sports were this weeks opponents in an 8 goal thriller. Nathan Billington scored 2 with Terry Jones and Jordan Coles adding the others for Witherley. Steve Hall, George Arnold, Josh Cooper and Jack Torode made sure of a share of the spoils.

Bermuda Park travelled to Hinckley to take on Phoenix United and left with all 3 points as they were on the right end of a 4-3 final score. Steven Pywell, Badru Abubaker, Lewis Davis and Jack Roxby with the Bermuda goals. Dan Trezise and a Josh Smith brace were on the scoresheet for Phoenix.

Grendon hit 6 past Sunnyside to leave The Pingles with a 6-1 win. Harley Booker hit 2 and Alan Carlburg, Dave Boal, Luke Dunn and Ash Williamson the singles for Grendon. Ash Jones scored the Sunnyside goal.

Paul Brown and Tom Scott scored for Travs as they edged out Swan Dive 2-1 in a close encounter. Nathan Mcinnes was on target for Swan Dive.

Kyle Olner scored the only goal of the game as Weddington Athletic captured a 1-0 win over league leaders Newdigate United in NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGUE THREE..
Rumour Mill (Barwell) sit 2nd only a point behind the leaders after 2 goals each for Joe Randle and Danny Winterbotham secured them a 4-2 win over Anchor Inn (Hartshill). Anchor played very well and were unlucky not to take something from the game as Ash Telford and Luke Ginnelly scored second half goals to make it a really intense last 10 minutes.

SS Bulls Head were held to a 2-2 draw at Bedworth Bank. Josh Atkinson and Adrian Tapp scoring for Bulls Head. Zak Bhara and Liam Roberts got the Bank goals.

Ben Stephenson scored twice with Ben Greenfield and Josh Wilks adding the singles as Hearty Goodfellow Reserves beat Earl Shilton Town 4-1. Conor Woolman scored the Shilton goal.

Lamb and Flag were 2-1 winners at Griff and Coton Manor Reserves thanks to goals from Ayomide Adeleke and Bradley Bates. Paul Mosley scored for Griff.
