Penrith AFC Ladies and Girls are part of Penrith AFC, an FA Charter Standard Community Club.

Penrith AFC Ladies have played at Regional League level in the North West Womens League since they were formed in 2000 (Previously as Penrith Sapphires and Penrith United).

During this period the club has gradually expanded to include girl's teams at U10, U12, U14 and U16 age levels.

With more and more players progressing from girls to Ladies football the club introduced a 2nd Ladies (Development) team for the 2008/09 season.

Penrith AFC Ladies team continues to attract the best young players from Penrith / Carlisle and beyond while the Ladies Development team offers County League football for those making the transition from from girls to Ladies football.
