Great Baddow F.C. lifted the Premier Division League Cup on Good Friday after defeating United Chelmsford Churches F.C. 5-3 after extra time. Baddow had to come from behind on 3 separate occasions as the game finished 2-2 after 90 minutes
In front of a crowd in excess of 300 Great Baddow were triumphant in securing the Premier Division League Cup trophy at Maldon Town F.C. on Good Friday so avenging last seasons final defeat.
Baddow dominated a large portion of this game and missed many chances throughout the game, including a penalty miss in the opening 15 minutes. Baddow had to come from behind on 3 occasions during the game.
The game had finished 2-2 after 90 minutes and Baddow finally got their noses in front during the second period of extra time to take the steam out of their opponents who proved to be gallant runners-up.
James Davey had given UCC the lead in the first 5 minutes nodding home a rebound after the ball had cannoned off the cross bar. Baddow then had a goal disallowed 5 minutes later for off side before Jack Mead saw his 15th minute penalty well saved by UCC keeper Craig Rolfe, after Rolfe himself had conceded the kick following a late challenge.
Baddow missed many chances in the opening half Luke Parry being the main offender. Ben Allen headed just over late in the first half which would have extended UCC's adavantage

Adam Flack equalised for Gt Baddow early in the second half following a defence splitting pass, nodding home the rebound after seeing his initial shot well saved by Rolfe in the UCC goal. Ben Allen then restored UCC's advantage at the mid point of the half.
Chances came and went before Luke Perry's equaliser forced the game into extra time.

Gary Grant once again put UCC in the driving seat within 5 minutes of the extra 30 only for Michael Snell to equalise on the stroke of half time as his toe poke on goal from the edge of the box came through a crowd and deceived the UCC keeper during the first period of extra time.
A goal mouth scramble almost saw Baddow gain the advantage in the 106th minute of the game but a combination of the post and a UCC defender saw the ball go safely wide. However UCC's resolve was finally broken when Dane Nelson's goal in the 110 minute of the game seemed to knock the stuffing out of UCC and a late Sam Mead goal made the game safe for Baddow.

Skipper Ben Cross from Great Baddow F.C was named The County Motor Works Man of the Match, but Ben Bishop at the heart of the UCC defence pushed him hard for that award
