The Fair Play Award - Season 2005/2006 and Congratulations Under 13 (East) Division Champions 2006/2007
Eastbourne Borough U13 Girls enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the sun as guests at Bank Holiday Mondays Conference South fixture Eastbourne Borough v Cambridge City. The Worshipful The Mayor of Eastbourne Councillor Colin Belsey presented the girls with a prestigious Fair Play award on the pitch during the half time interval. The Fair Play Award for last season was awarded to the squad who were chosen by the County FA for showing a high level of sportsmanship throughout the season (2005/06)
The team were nominated in connection with a recognition of the players understanding of, and respect of the laws of the game, and their support for the belief that football should be played in an entertaining and positive way. The Borough Girls behaved in a sporting manner towards other players, officials and spectators regardless of results but not only did the team win this very prestigious award, they also enjoyed a unique treble winning season in winning the Crowborough & District Junior Girls League, The Sussex County Women & Girls Football League and the League Cup, something that no other team has ever achieved before.
The Girls each received a FA crested medal in a commemorative box with the achievement engraved on it, to add to there individual trophy collections
