Park Tavern FC take the silverware on the first Final of the season with a 3-0 win over Lynten Athletic FC on Friday 10th April

In an exciting game Park Tavern FC won the Rose Bowl 3-0 against Lynten Athletic FC. The first half ended all square at 0-0 with both sides having a few chances but failing to convert. After the break Tavern were quick off the blocks and in the 49th min Jamie Sellick slipped his defender and slotted past the oncoming keeper. This gave the Park Tavern boys the edge and settled them down and they then started playing the ball around and in the 60th min Jon Penney cooly slotted over the keeper to make it 2-0. Lynten never gave up and went close twice before an unforced error from Paul Mewes passing the ball back to his keeper hit it slightly wide and hard that bypassed the keeper into his own net to make it 3-0 on the 85th minute to finish the game as a contest. A sporting game played in an excellent atmosphere with a crowd of 177 with Park Tavern FC deserving the first trophy win of the season.
