HINTS TO CLUB SECRETARIES
IN THE WEEK BEFORE A HOME GAME:
1. Fixtures are published on the League website www.fulltime.thefa.com SSFL. This should be checked regularly as the fixture; referee or pitch may change at any time. Please see Rule 20. 2. Home club to confirm fixture with referee and opposition no later than three clear days prior to the game. 3. When confirming fixture, home club should give clear directions to the ground. Confirm kick off time and full colour of playing kit to avoid colour clash. If there is a change of referee the home side must inform the away side. 4. Remembrance Sunday, kick off time shall be 11.02am.
ON THE DAY OF THE MATCH:
1. Both teams should try to arrive at the venue in good time for kick off. TEAM sheets MUST be presented to the referee and opposition at least 15 minutes before kick-off. And squad lists MUST be made available. 2. In the event of a postponement the home club should notify the opposition, referee and results line 07904 780370 as soon as possible. 3. Home club to supply club assistant referee flags and two match balls to referee prior to the game and to ensure corner flags are in place and nets are secured properly. 4. Each team should supply a club assistant referee. 5. All clubs should have an adequate first aid kit. 6. The correct referees name should be shown on the online match return card (or match return card). It is suggested that the referee should be asked his name on the day of the game as a change of referee is not uncommon.
AFTER THE MATCH:
1. The home team must text or telephone the match result to the results line within 2 hours of completion of the match, please state the division/cup, followed by home club and score then away club and score. Result line 07904 780370 or full time text reply. 2. Both clubs must fully complete an online match return card (or paper match return card) to the fixtures secretary within 2 days of the match. 3. If there are any issues with the pitch, changing rooms or showers, please email Barry Bowen, the Grounds complaints Secretary within 2 days of the match at: bazssfl.pitchanddressingrooms@live.co.uk
COUNTY FA CUP MATCHES: 1 All clubs must text/phone the match result to the results line within 2 hours of completion of the match, please state the division/cup, followed by home club and score then away club and score. Result line 07904 780370 and SCFA full time text reply. 2 In the event of a SCFA cup match a completed County FA match return card must be sent to the relevant County FA within four days of the match. 3 A completed SSFL online match return card (or paper match return card) to the fixtures secretary within 2 days of the match.
GENERAL:
1. Before the start of the season, all clubs must complete and return the local Council pitch contract form.
2. All clubs must be affiliated to the Sussex County FA before the start of the season. Please see Rule 2 and Rule 3. 3. Correspondence from the league should be replied to within fourteen days to avoid being fined. 4. Any protest must be received at the league office on an official protest form, with the appropriate fee, within seven days of the occurrence referred to in the protest. 5. Try to familiarise yourself with the rules! 6. If in doubt on any point, email or telephone the relevant secretary Peter Hallett (League/Registrations/Benevolent secretary), Ian South (Fixture secretary) or Perry Hart (Referees secretary) for guidance. 7. Forward a copy of your balance sheet to the S.C.F.A. on or before 30th September.
