In the first round of the cup competition a big shock in the first game with The Barbarians from the grading group beating FC Huyton 5-1 while Division B champions Quill FC also caused somewhat of a shock when they hammered Division A runners up Villa FC 5-0. Bayer Neverlusen beat Yormums Athletic 3-0. Copa Mundial from Division A beat Had a Bad Day from the grading group 3-1. Tony Flow from Division B beat relegated Inter Ducks 3-1. The other relegated side from Division A, Borussia Boots beat Inter Herass 2-1 while Longview who topped the grading group beat Real Sosobad from Division B, 6-3. Rapid Viagra beat grading team Penketh United 3-1. Them Again beat new team Phoenix FC 3-1. In the all Division A tie Soccer PM had a narrow 2-1 win over Chicken Kiev. In the final first round cup match Division A, champions AC Sparta Praha edged Division B runners up San Marino 3-2 in a thrilling contest.
