Both North Reddish WMC and Winton Wanderers were involved in the Manchester FA Sunday cup. Goals from Allatt Summers and Kyle Dunkerly got the Club through in their 2-1 win at home against Chadderton FC U/21’s. Nothing has been reported how Winton went on in their game at home to AFC Oldham.

Mountfield and Cheadle FC played out an excellent end to end game, Cheadle coming out on top by the odd goal of five. Mountfield throughout had most of the possession, but it was without the ball their weakness showed. Reece Rudman opened Cheadle’s account with his goal. Putting pressure on the Cheadle defence, a cross from Ollie McFadden saw Lucas Berry hit the back of Cheadle’s net. But within ten minutes of the second half played, goals from Rylan Griffith and Nathan Taylor put Cheadle 3-1 in front. Mountfield, laid siege on the Cheadle defence who held firm until Danny Boetang picked out Berry for his second goal. Berry could have doubled his tally having brought out an excellent save from Garry Lyon, and hitting the post. Lostock Rangers at home to Stockport Orion found, themselves 4-1 down at half time, their only reply coming from Sam Ormston’s penalty. They had a better second half defensively only conceding a further goal. Orion’s scorers were Josh Elford with a hat trick and a goal each for Louis Ridgeway and Mike Keegan. A warning for teams playing the Vikings, don’t upset them with an early goal, Northenden found that out when an attempted clearance by the Vikings keeper hit Northenden’s, Fabrizio Avendano, and finished up behind him in his net. By the final whistle the opposing net had been breached by double figures. Niall Scott top scorer with 4 Marcus Purvis and Keniel Henry shared another four, and there were one apiece for Joey Shingler, Matt Jepson and Shaun McCrory. It wasn’t a good day for Northenden FC either. They were a goal down after only a minute when Sean Gregory beat the keeper with a thirty yard lob shot. Team mate Jordan Thompson came to the rescue of his keeper with the equaliser before half time. On the hour Mitch Whittle tried his luck with a lobbed shot which again somehow found its way into the net to put County in front. Only the bar denied Northenden a share of the spoils. The only thing I can tell you about the Railway v Hillgate team the latter won 5-1.
Six was a popular number in the Division one games. Phoenix, Sto. Orion, and the Cheshire Milkmen the six hitters. Starting with the leaders Phoenix at home to Bosden Farm Albion, who actually scored first then scored another two to make it 3-3 at half time. Goals from Sam Findlow, Liam Hindle and new signing Josh Smith were the first half scorers. Albion failed to find the net again while Phoenix doubled their tally. Smith went on to complete his debut hat trick and Findlow getting his second. The other half of the Bosden set up the Rovers, were beaten 6-0 at home by Sto. Orion who scored three in each half. The home side found it hard to contain Leo Rafferty who provided the passes for three of the goals. James Burns scoring two of them and Zak Grainger. Who had missed a couple of earlier chances with the third he then scored the goal of the game to complete his hat trick. Jude Barber, adding the other. Cheadle Hulme Galaxy lost 6-3 at home to the Cheshire Milkmen. Their scorers were Will Harris (2) and Cameron Leigh, There were also six goals scored in the Edgeley Villa v Adswood Utd match. Villa was two up at half time. Matt Aked’s volley from Tom Thorburn’s cross opened the scoring. Kev Boswell scored from the penalty spot after Mikey Brown had been upended in the area. From the edge of the area Howie Thomas-Leech netted the third. Adswood’s two replies at that point came via deflections of Villa players. The disease spread to the other end when Liam Hudson’s shot took a deflection causing the Adswood keeper to dive the other way. Eden Park were the division’s top scorers finding the back of Woodhouse Park Avengers net eight times. There were hat tricks for Jason Cadogen and George West. Ash Cramer-Brown and Serevudd Pheanouk one apiece. Sean O’Connor and Cramer-Brown had also hit the woodwork.
