The FA is delighted to announce that this years FA Womens Cup Final will be shown live on BBC 2 at 3pm on Sunday 26 May 2013
The showpiece of the 2013 womens football season will take place at the Keepmoat Stadium, home to Doncaster Rovers Belles, one of womens footballs most famous clubs.
This showpiece match returns to terrestrial television for the first time since 2009 and it will signal the start of an amazing summer of womens football, building up to the BBCs live coverage of the UEFA Womens Euro 2013 Finals in July.
Director of BBC Sport Barbara Slater said: Were very pleased to renew our association with The FA Womens Cup Final and offer live coverage of this key fixture to viewers.
The Olympics provided a great showcase for the sport and demonstrated that there is a strong audience appetite to watch the top womens teams in action, so were looking forward to bringing more womens football to audiences on the BBC across TV, radio and online this year.
2013 marks 20 years since The FA took over the running of the womens game and Doncaster Rovers Belles won the first Womens Cup under The FAs auspices, in 1993-94.
Sue Hough, Chairman of The FA Womens Committee said: We are delighted that Doncaster Rovers Belles are hosting this seasons Final.
They have such a rich history in the womens game and it is fitting that the Cup winners of 20 years ago should stage The Final in this landmark year for The FA.
And having the support of the BBC is terrific. They have broadcast the last three of the last four England Womens games and we look forward to more excellent coverage of womens football throughout 2013.
This years competition has had 283 clubs enter and the remaining 8 ties have been drawn for the Fifth Round Proper on Sunday 17 March at 2.00pm unless otherwise agreed:
1 Sunderland v Manchester City
2 Aston Villa v Liverpool
3 Doncaster Rovers Belles v Bristol Academy
4 Cardiff City v Birmingham City
5 Nottingham Forest v Arsenal
6 Oxford United v Everton
7 Lincoln v Chelsea
8 Leeds United v Yeovil Town
The cup competition is 42 years old as the first Womens FA Cup took place in the 1970-71 season under the auspices of the Womens FA. Southampton beat Scottish side Stewarton 4-1 in The Final. The first final under The FAs control was in 1994 and Doncaster Rovers Belles beat Knowsley United 1-0.
The fourth round was played Sunday 24 February, results can be found on http://www.thefa.com/Competitions/FACompetitions/TheFAWomensCup/NewsandFeatures/2013/fourth-round-proper-round-up
Birmingham City are the current holders, winning The Cup for the first-ever time by beating Chelsea on penalties in last years Final.
