ANDREW BANDELOW TOURNAMENT 2024-25 - UPDATED

The Andrew Bandelow cup competition will be held using a league format.
We will have 4 Groups

2 Groups of 6 Teams and 2 Groups of 5

Each Team will play each other ONCE

Who you play at home or away is decided when each team is drawn and the position they are drawn in.

Example of a Group of 6
Team 1 v Team 6 Team 2 v Team 5 Team 3 v Team 4
Team 5 v Team 1 Team 4 v Team 6 Team 3 v Team 2
Team 1 v Team 4 Team 5 v Team 3 Team 6 v Team 2
Team 3 v Team 1 Team 2 v Team 4 Team 6 v Team 5
Team 1 v Team 2 Team 6 v Team 3 Team 4 v Team 5
Eg. Team1 was drawn first so will have home fixtures against Team 6, Team 4 & Team 2.
Then away to Team 5 and Team 2. It is where you were drawn determining who you play home and away

The groups of 5 the games showing “Team 6” will not be scheduled.

The draw was made at the committee meeting on Tuesday 29th October

These games will start Sunday 1st December and played on the following dates
December 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd
January 5th, 12th, 19th , 26th

We have set aside 8 weeks for 6 weeks of fixtures

You need to be aware of is we will not accept postponement requests, and game defaulted will be dealt with under league rules. Any club with insufficient pitch availability the league will consider switching the home side for the competition to progress.

If at the end of January, the league will determine if any game is not played will need to be played if it has any effect on the final league standings.

The League Standings at the end of the competition will see the top two sides in each group progress to the quarter finals of the Andrew Bandelow Cup. The sides who do not progress in the Andrew Bandelow cup, will compete in our 3rd cup competition the George Addlesee Cup.

The league committee has worked hard to accommodate extra fixtures though this will only work if sides honour their obligation to the league by playing their games.
