Summertown AFC hosted Chequers FC in the rearranged OFA Junior Shield tie, while last weeks victors Wheatley Youth FC and Thame United Churches FC meeting in League action.

On a very wet and windy afternoon Summertown AFC and Chequers FC met in the OFA Junior Shield and with both teams unbeaten in the League, the stage was set for an exciting cup tie. Both teams showed compassion as they stood together in the centre circle to observe a minutes silence following the Paris attacks.
Summertown started the brighter and seemed to adapt to the conditions quicker than Chequers. It was as expected a tight affair with both teams taking the lead at various times in the first 90 mins, with the game ending 3-3. Ben Williams had an excellent game in goal for Stars keeping Chequers at bay on more than one occasion and it was a Charles Bently brace in extra time that saw Stars come out 6-3 winner after extra time. Charles Appiah and Mara Fama also got braces to wrap up the scoring for Stars and set up a 3rd round tie against Chacombe.
Wheatley Youth FC and Thame United Churches FC met in the following their Junior Shield victories the previous week. It was against the run of play when Thame took the lead through Steve Slatter on 20 mins, although the response was almost immediate when a right wing cross found Patrick Beckford who smashed a half volley into the roof of the net and take the teams in all square at the break. The second half saw Wheatley take control and it was Beckford who again found the net when he pounced on a loose ball at the back post to stab the ball home. Wheatley got their third when this time a cross came in from the left and Beckford headed home to mark his debut with a hat-trick and secure the points for Wheatley.
Oxford Brookes and Masons Arms played out a 3-3 draw at the Wheatley Campus. Marc James got a brace and Sami Eyeles got the goals for Brookes with Tim Small, Nathaniel Jackson and Jordan Veale replying for Masons. Elsewhere in the league St. Ebbes (Headington) FC and East Oxford drew 1-1.
