There was almost an almighty upset at Beaumont Park on Saturday in the Everards Brewery Premier Division as title contenders Anstey Town found themselves 2-0 down at half-time at home to strugglers Friar Lane & Epworth. Anstey mounted a fightback and came out as 4-3 winners in the end thanks to goals from Josh Burniston (2), Joe Harris and Casey Richardson, with David Aluko, Solomon Agyeman and Quentin Thompson scoring for Friar Lane, as Anstey stay third. Desford stay top after an impressively eye-catching 4-1 win at home to Aylestone Park Reserves, Mac Parnell (2), Connor McGahan and Tom Vyce scoring for Desford, Ethan Clarke with a second half consolation for Park.

Magna 73 stay in second after winning 3-1 at home to Highfield Rangers, the visitors leading at half-time thanks to an OG, before Magna came out a different side in the second half and goals from Reegan Lawrence (2) and Nic Smith gave them the points. The only change to the morning's top four came as Hathern and AFC North Kilworth swapped places. Hathern ground out a 1-0 win away at Khalsa after Jack McLachlan pounced on a spilled ball in the six-yard box just before the hour mark, Hathern moving up a place to fourth, with North Kilworth going down a place after a 0-0 draw at Cottesmore which saw the visitors finish with 10 men, Cottesmore easing their relegation worries a bit more with that point.

There was no change at the bottom of the table. Burbage & Huncote were on the sidelines this Saturday, Friar Lane lost, and Ellistown lost 3-1 at home to Leicester Atletico. Jake McIntosh had given Ellistown the lead in the first half, but Adam Modan's free-kick ten minutes after the break drew Atletico level, before Ellistown came apart in the final stages, Kosi Ezeja putting Atletico in front and Mohammed Hogsade wrapping up the win from the bench 10 minutes from time. Atletico moved up two places in the table with that win, as did Sileby Town, also in the mid-table spots, with Sileby putting Thurnby to the sword 5-1 at the Pat Derby Ground, Mark Tinsley (2), Conner Packwood, Tom Pope and Harry Warner scoring for Sileby, Alfie Mansell the sole Thurnby strike in the second half.
