FC Utd of Bolsover remain in pole position in NAPIT ONE after week five of the season. They dropped their first points of the campaign the previous week after Hepthorne Lane held them to draw, however it was back to winning ways as they narrowly beat Doe Lea by four goals to three. Ash Grayson was the standout player for Utd, with a well taken hat trick, Kimberley adding goal number four. Tibshelf Town are second, a point behind the leaders following an excellent 5-2 victory over Hepthorne Lane, Vardy scoring twice, Whittaker, Harris and Staples once. Creswell Black Diamond had lost their opening three games prior to the visit of FC Brimington to Fox Green but they tasted victory for the first time as goals from Ross Whitehead, Jordan Claxton, Ricky Machin and Greg Lowde earned them a 5-3 win. A close game at Deer Park saw hosts Wingerworth BMB lose out to visitors FC Britannia by the odd goal in seven, Nathan Whitehead hitting a treble for Britannia.

Britannia Rose lead TWO after a 6-4 win at Renishaw MW, their fourth in four games. Ellis Wall was the main man for Rose hitting three of the winning goals. Brampton Rovers JMA are second after Alex Day scored a hat trick in a 5-0 win over Shoulder of Mutton. In the division's other game Dronfield Victoria and Renishaw Rangers drew 2-2.

In THREE Brampton Oak Sports ran riot at Brimington Utd, hitting eleven goals to take the points, Lewis Warwick headlining with four goals. Also on the scoresheet were Lee Bingham who scored twice, David Brent, Paul Roe, Ryan Cancellara, Dan Chapman and Dan Wainwright.

Bolsover Town opened up a four point lead at the top of FOUR thanks to a 3-1 win at Chesterfield Rangers in which Josh Nichols scored twice, Charlie Oglesby once. Brimington Utd Shoes are second, Chris Buchanan and Chris Ritter scoring in a 2-1 win at Bridge Inn.

In FIVE Holmewood Park Rangers are up to second following their narrow 3-2 win over Brimington Club in which Craig Young scored all three goals. Antony Brown scored twice as Newbold CFT beat Hasland Community 4-2 and Old Whittington MW and Hasland WMC drew 1-1.

Black Bull Rangers and Anchor Clowne are in contention at the top of SIX Bull leading Anchor on goal difference as both sides won their fifth games on the bounce and in some style. Adam Barton scored a hat trick in an easy 7-1 win over Spartans 2nd for Bull whilst Anchor Clowne destroyed Palterton Sporting Club, Ryan Edridge scoring three, Jordan Edridge and Ryan Child scoring two apiece in an 11-1 romp. Hasland Community A just edged out Renishaw Rangers TFC 3-2 whilst Daniel Dodds scored four as Markham Arms beat Nags Head All Stars 6-3.

The first round of the Derbyshire Junior Sunday Cup also took place and in an all NAPIT
THREE encounter a thrilling game at Clowne Wanderers Reserves where Birdholme Club were the visitors saw both sides tied at 3-3 after ninety minutes and after extra time. Club eventually prevailed winning an exciting penalty shoot-out 8-7. Likewise the game between Matlock Town Wanderers and Creswell Black Diamond Reserves was decided by penalties, Wanderers winning 4-3. Red Lion Whitt Moor won 3-1 at Grassmoor Sports, a hat trick from Josh Burrow and a brace from Allen Hurt helped New Inn Tupton to a 7-2 win over Glapwell Gladiators. AFC North Wingfield saw off the challenge of Eastwood Athletic Under 23's scoring twice from the penalty spot in a 5-2 win and missing a third. Barlow Kingston Rovers beat Dronfield Town 4-1 and Spartans beat AFC Castle by three goals to one. Club FC were under pressure early on in their tie as opponents Tintwhistle Village put together some neat passing moves but as so often happens in football the opposition scored first! It was Shane Dickens who took the ball down well on the edge of the box before curling a shot into the Tintwistle goal after 18 minutes. Just over ten minutes later it was all square when Asa Beattie saw his shot beat home keeper Kevin Firth thanks to a cruel deflection. Before half time Firth was back in action with a save from Richard Lowery and then a fantastic double save from the same player to keep Club in the game.
The same pattern of play continued in the second half with home custodian again pulling off a save from Lowery this time at point blank range. Shortly after though the visitors were not to be denied when Lowery finished of Beatties’s deflected shot to make it 2-1 to Tintwistle.
Club were getting a foothold back in the game and when Gary Brooks fired in a shot from the edge of the box only the post denied the home side an equaliser. A misjudged back pass though on 65 minutes allowed the visitors to extend their lead when Lowery nipped in to convert for his second and the third for Tintwistle.
A close finish was set up with a second for Club on 68 minutes with the goal of the game, Ashley Walters drove the ball into the top left hand corner from all of 25 yards out to make it 2-3. There was one final chance to force this game into extra time when Dave Gibson put a header just wide three minutes from time and it was Tintwistle whose long trip to North East Derbyshire, they are members of the Hyde and District Sunday League, had proved fruitful with an appearance booked for round 2.
