News from the County FA Awards 2023
I am delighted to tell you that in recognition of the Youth Football provided by the Woodspring Junior League over many seasons the League were awarded an FA Recognition Award at this year's County FA Awards Evening
The Chairman & myself were on hand at Yeovil Town FC to collect the award on behalf of the whole League.
Without the involvement of everybody from the players, parents, match officials, club officials, League Management Committee & supporters the League would not be in a position to pick up such an award.
The Woodspring Junior League aims to provide football for youth players of all abilities and from any background, in a friendly and sportsmanlike manner, where friendships can be built.
Remember a Woodspring Junior League match is a game of football. It is just a game and no result, win, lose or draw, is going to change World History.
So on behalf of the League Management Committee can I thank you all for your contribution to this success.
In addition to the above the League's Welfare Officer, Chris Donald was awarded the County FA Welfare Officer of the Year Award.
And to cap an excellent evening for the Woodspring Junior League, several referees who officiate in the League picked up refereeing awards.
