Final:
John Kitto YMCA 5-3 Lipson CC (28 March 2007) Bolitho Park, Plymouth
What a cracker this final turned out to be with six goals coming in the opening twenty six minutes as both teams turned in an excellent display to thrill a large crowd at Bolitho Park
Kitto drew first blood on five minutes through man of the match Ross Avery, who a minute later laid on a simple tap in for Richard Maddison to make it 2-0.
Lipson to their credit fought back magnificently to reduce the arrears through Simon Hancock after good work by David Woodfield.
With just 18 minutes on the clock Lipson drew level when a brilliant run down the flank by Michael Hancock led to Lee Roberts drilling home.
Amazingly the scoring continued as within two minutes Kitto regained the lead when the unmarked Avery headed in his second from a Pete Foster free kick.
The dust had still not settled from that goal when Lipson were awarded a penalty for handball and Kevin Mee slotted home the equaliser.
Two minutes into the second half the goal fest continued with Avery completing his hat trick despite the valiant attempts by two Lipson defenders to clear off the line.
Kitto then notched up a fifth and what a peach of a goal it was, Foster cracking home a 25 yards free kick.
Lipson kept their heads and should have pulled one back only for Levi Landricombe to hesitate slightly when only faced with the keeper to beat allowing his shot to be parried away.
Lipson's luck was again out five minutes later when a shot from Woodfield came back off the post with the keeper well beaten.
