KIDLINGTON FC have become the latest senior club to host an OCFA Cup Final, when they host the CJL CUP FINAL on 25th April.
Due to the success of Blackbird Rovers in the OFA Junior Shield the OCFA had to act quickly to find a new date and venue for one of its cup competitions. Enquiries were made and Kidlington FC secretary David Platt replied to say that their ground was available, Platt said Once we received the enquiry from the Oxford City FA, we were more than happy to help support local football. Different venues for finals are difficult to find with busy end of season schedules, so we are glad to help .
OCFA fixtures secretary Mark Wilkins added with the success of Blackbird Rovers in reaching the Junior Shield Final and team availability, we had to move the date and venue for one of the competitions cup finals. We as a League always look to give our member clubs a Cup Final venue that fits the occasion and we were very pleased when Kidlington FC said they could host one of our finals. This adds to our other venues at Oxford City FC and Abingdon Town FC, who have supported us again this season.
