Now recruiting for Season 17/18
Launched in 2016, the programme has been a huge success with the Sunderland and Shildon teams taking the FA Under 19 Development League Midlands/North Division by storm with each scholar on target to reach their academic goals.
Students study towards a full-time BTEC Level 2 or Level 3 National Diploma in Sport Performance and Excellence under the expert guidance of the Foundation's Further Education Officers.
In addition to progressing academically, the scholars also compete against other Premier League and English Football League (EFL) development teams representing Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Burnley to name a few.
Using footage recorded by SportsByte at the University of Sunderland, students will have the opportunity to watch back each fixture for detailed analysis as well as gaining access to nutrition advice and strength and conditioning training with Unique Performance Coaching.
