Summary of the action from Week 2 of NTU's Serie 6-a-side competition

Week 2 of the SERIE 6-A-Side league saw all twelve teams in action on a surprisingly bright evening in Clifton, with one team even planning to win the toss and make their opponents face the sun in the first half!

4.00 pm saw Globo Gym Purple Cobras make their league debut following their inability to fulfil their fixture last week. They came up against a Tekkersolvakia side who were coming off the back of an impressive showing in Week 1, having won 6-1. Globo Gym clearly weren't phased by this though, equalising to get the score back to 2-2 with just five minutes to go. However, a late surge by Tekkerslovakia saw them take the game 4-2.

In the game running at the same time on Pitch 2, And The Winners Are and Schneefers, who had both picked up wins in Week 1, produced another close game, with the score finishing 2-2 and providing the first game to be drawn in the SERIE since February.

The second round of fixtures for the day saw H What FC maintain their 100% start to the season in a 3-1 win against Barlow's Big Boys, whilst Borussia Teeth got their season of the mark with an impressive 11-1 victory over Ale Madrid.

In the 5.20 kick offs Le Saux Solid Crew, who picked up three points last week without kicking a ball due to Globo Gyms withdrawal, gave a statement of their intent to the league with a 3-0 win that ended Ay Bird FC's winning start to the season.

In the day's final game 2 Goals 1 Cup played Is Your Motherwell, with the latter winning 4-0 to pick up their first points of the season.

Week 3 should again see all twelve teams in action. 4.00pm sees Barlow's Big Boys looking for their win against Borussia Teeth, whilst Globo Gym Purple Cobras will be trying to put an end to H What FC's 100% record. At 4.40 pm Ale Madrid go in search of their first point against And The Winners Are, and a 100% record will definitely be lost as Tekkerslovakia play Le Saux Solid Crew. In the final games of the day 2 Goals 1 Cup and Ay Bird will be looking to bounce back from defeats last week and Is Your Motherwell will try to extend their winning run when they play Schneefers.
