Stapenhill leave it until the 2nd half to show what they are made off.
Once more Premier division leaders Stapenhill left it until the 2nd half to show what they are made off when they turned on the power and overturned a 1-2 deficit into a resounding 6-2 victory. An Ant Ward double gave visitors Anstey Nomads, who were on the back of 7 successive league defeats, the half time advantage. Steve Gough replied and equalised with his 2nd of the game before further goals from Jon Jenkinson, Graham Ashton. Jordi Gough and Greg Smith gave the Swans their 1st win of 2007, to match the 50 point threshold and an eight point advantage.
The morning?s 2nd place outfit, Ibstock Utd, lost at home and were displaced by Thurnby Rangers. A lone 2nd half goal from Shaun Barber gave the Rangers a slender 1-0 defeat over Downes Sports and moved them in to 2nd spot after their 5th win on the spin.
Kirby Muxloe enhanced their top 4 aspirations with a 1-3 win at Ibstock after Jamie Mason hit a 1st half double and Kirby closed out the game after leading 1-3 at the break.
Bardon Hill Sports needed a win to stay in the hunt after 3 successive draws, and hit Highfield Rangers 5-0 as Martin Staley bagged an hat trick whilst Barrow Town returned from Holwell Sports with a 0-2 victory, the 2nd a late penalty to seal the points.
Thurmaston Town made it 2 away wins on the spin with a 1-2 victory at St Andrews and Birstall Utd defended resolutely to protect a lead that gave them their 1st points in 4 starts and a 0-1 away win at Blaby and Whetstone Athletic.
Ellistown concreted a mid table berth with a 0-4 away win at bottom placed Rothley Imps after Paul O?Callaghan posted an hat trick against his former club and in the basement game Aylestone Park hit Ratby Sports 1-4, after Nick Loach netted a brace, to give themselves a 4 point cushion to bottom 2 placed Ratby.
