Disappointing weekend of unfulfilled fixtures....
Southern Region suffered a disappointing run of unfulfilled games this weekend, with Wycombe unable to travel to Havant & Waterlooville, and Southampton Saints Res unable to put a side out against Reading Girls.
After Shanklin were unable to play H&W in midweek due to floodlight problems, we have lost 3 fixtures again this week.
Of the games that did go ahead, our first double header secured Launton 2 points after drawing 1-1 with Bracknell in both games. Aldershot beat MK 2-1, Saints secured 3 points against BTC, Shanklin beat Slough 2-1 on the island, and Henley added to Southampton Women's woes with a 3-0 victory.
Saints stay in contention at the top of the Premier Division but H&W continue to be the hot favourites. Launton's 2 points give them daylight at the bottom with 9 points, whilst MK and Southampton Women continue to fight for survival below them.
In the First Division, only 2 games went ahead, Oxford City Res won against Reading Ladies 2-5 after Reading held them to 1-1 at half time. 3 late goals gave the visitors a comfortable lead, but Reading Ladies have looked an improved side in recent weeks.
Banbury took a notable 3 points with a 1-0 win over Newbury L&G with Alexa Coates scoring the only goal.
